Kristina Coffman

Area Director

"I started with US Beef as a member of the crew in 2001 when I was just a high school student. It was a part time job meant to give me some spending money. It never occurred to me then that the restaurant industry could provide stability and career opportunities. It was just a job. But by the time I graduated from high school in 2003, I had shown a willingness to learn and a work ethic that earned me a promotion to Assistant Manager - and more money. Then, under the watchful eye and training from the best restaurant operators in the industry, I was promoted to General Manager in 2005 and to District Manager in 2013, after being recognized as US Beef's GM of the year in 2012. In all candor, the support I've received from senior leadership at US Beef has given me the confidence and ability to realize that there's no such thing as a glass ceiling - just open air opportunity if you're willing to work for it. Am I glad I stayed with US? I couldn't imagine being anywhere else!"

Syed Mansoor

Regional Director of Operations

Perhaps the best demonstration of US Beef leadership is how they use their own experience to develop the next generation of leaders. This “pay it forward” philosophy is always at work, and there’s no better example of that than 27 year veteran, Syed Mansoor, Regional Director of Operations, St. Louis.
“I started part time with US in 1987, never thinking this would be the start of a very long and rewarding business career. By 1989, it was almost hard to comprehend that I was managing a $1 million dollar restaurant, and by 1993, was promoted to District Manager. In August, 1999, US Beef acquired the St. Louis market with 22 existing Arby’s restaurants, and by November, promoted me to Regional Director of Operations of that market. Since then, I’ve opened 35 new restaurants in St. Louis, and some in Colorado Springs following that acquisition in November, 2009. But the most rewarding aspect of my career has undoubtedly been the training and development of our future leaders – at least 75 General Managers and countless crew members. And there’s no end to our expansion plans in sight. After 27 years, I can honestly say it’s still a lot of fun, and the learning never stops.”
